Known for his integrity you would think that this would bring these religions more togeather as integrity is a highly valued trait. Shouldn't we all have this and be able to get along because of it?

In reality yes all three faiths should be getting along so much better because of so many simularities.

Abraham, Job, and so much of the Old testemet ( from Christian view point)

And with Islam, they respect Jesus often better than Christians do, but deny his being Christ. ( but do look for an angel of light to come in the last days ( if I could change that angel to Christ, you would almost have a christian islam religion.

But then comes the issues, and in some cases the issues are not as large as between some Chrsitian religions, which deny the other as being valid. In Christianity, for example, the Baptist don't accept any baptism that is not immersion and you have to get re-baptised to join thier church, Even the catholic Church that used to not accept any faiths as having salvation, always accepted thier baptism.

so Christians can not even accept each other, thus the issue,
Islam contains alot of "crhistian" teachings that was popular in his region of the world during his life time, But these were not accepted beliefs by most of the Christian world.
Without Christ, to the Christian the other faiths can have no value for salvation ( yet we view jews as the chosen people)

The trouble is that both the Muslim and the christian have a real precieved mission to convert the world to thier faith.
And with that the two groups are fighting for the same people to convert.

In some areas we have had interreligion groups work for the helping, but many groups in the larger groups will not.

So while we have some simular beleifs, we also have strong beliefs that force us to not accept the other as valid in thier teachings.

To a Muslim to allow a Christian talk to thier child and perhaps make the child doubt his faith is as serious as child abuse since it risks his eternal life, And it works in reverse for the Chrisian.

And for the jew, they see both other faiths are break offs of thier faiths.

Sadly most always wish to look at the difference not the simular beleifs.

You have as much hatred between groups, there various groups within Islam are killing each other in the Middle East today.

In Christianity, I visited a church in Atlanta, they taught that Jesus is really black and that all white men are sons of satan and any black who works with them are doomed to hell.

So even within faiths we can't agree and work together, so different faiths have no real chance because of the desires of men

Job was not a Jew, he is simple listed as an Oriental.
Job and Moses life overlapped for a short time, and if Job had been a Jew, he would have been in Egypt before they left.
Job was and impeccable integrity keeper and sets a good example to all.
Bad things do happen to good people, and it is possible to continue to serve God even if you do not have all of the answer for your problems immediately.
Job is a sterling example of Faithfulness, Patience and Integrity.

I think it is revered because it shows that bad things can happen to good ppl, that God is always in control, and we all have to be a little bit careful of being a little too self righteous as Job was..
God of course put Job in his place and everything worked out---
i wish we all could just get along also-- and someday believe we all really will

Job explains that God allows Satan to test us. God allows bad things to happen. Job had everything anybody could ask for and God took it away from him. Even killed his children. But through all this heartache he never turned his back on God. He did want God to tell him why. Sometimes we can't understand why thing happen to us and it is OK to ask God why. But we should never turn away from Him. God test us to strengthen our faith in Him. If we are faithful to Him he will show us why. All thing turn out for the good of those who believe.

We should all have integrity. One book of the bible is not not enough to bring the three religions together. Why do we have to be together?

Because it addresses the age old question, "Why does God allow bad things happen to good people..." In the end, Job asks keeps asking "Why?" but he never turns his back on God.

First of all GOD belongs to all three faiths.
Job believed in God no matter what.
FAITH is what it's all about.
Job allowed God to do His will...... THY WILL BE DONE not yours or mines.
Right now in my life I only pray "Thy will be done in my life" this way I don't have to worry. I let God be in charge. So far it'seen working for me.
