i've heard of some people using roof flashing.

Check out Home Depot or Lowe's...if they have it they should be able to cut it to size for you on their machine.

Go to your nearest hardwear store or lumber company and get flashing. My mom did my brother's kitchen in it and it looks great. It was easy to do. Cut it using tin snips and to hol dit in place, use upolstry Tacks along the edges. It looks really cool.

Check with a local sheet metal shop, they usually have different guages and can cut it to size for you.
