Anything and everything. The Bible says to "pray without ceasing", and I don't believe it means we need to spend all of our waking time on our knees. I do believe it means that as we go through our days, we should maintain an attitude of submission before God and be open to hearing His voice and let Him guide us.

I pray for my family, to be a better teacher, mother and wife. I pray for insight into my teaching so that my students are learning the material they need. I pray for those in need; the sick, the hungry and the poor. I pray when I am sad and need to feel comfort, and I pray when I am grateful for everything Heavenly Father has blessed me with. For I feel truly blessed at this time in my life.

Prayer is an extremely powerful thing and even though I sometimes do not like the answer I receive I know that God is listening and loves us all.

It differs all the time. I'll pray about something I hear about on TV. I'll pray for a person I see walking down the street. I'll pray for people at work. I pray often for my older sister who has been unhappy almost as long as I remember, that she can come to know Jesus Christ and find peace and rest.

Prayer is more powerful than we can imagine.

I pray for protection from evil or badness or things or people that want to harm me or my loved ones. I try to, from my first awareness in the morning, to my last awareness at night, thank God, continually throughout the day for everything little and big thing that comes to my awareness.

At one time, I prayed for needs--mine and everyone else's. But, then, I started just trying to be aware of all the wonderful things in my life; and guess, what? My life has had fewer and fewer needs.

Of course, I still pray for the needs of others, and for the world, and for the few (very few, compared to before) personal concerns I still have.

I usually pray for strength and patience... I pray in thanksgiving, being grateful for what I've been given. And when things are hard, I tell God what I want but pray for the ability to do my best and accept the situation for what it is.
