Ever since I can remember i've had to do certain things in a specific order because I was afraid if I didn't do it in that order something bad would happen. It happens when i'm taking off jewelry, brushing my teeth, straigtening my hair, taking a shower....everyday things. Also, Some things i avoid doing, Like changing my calendar. If i forget to change the calendar when the new month begins, i won't touch it until the new year starts and i can get a new calendar. This is because i'm afraid that if i change the month on the calendar something bad might happen. Same thing with rearranging my room... i avoid it because if i move my bed, i think i'm going to get sick. I also avoid using the bathroom that me and my sister share because the last time i used it was when i was sick years ago. I also avoid the numbers 6 (the devil's number) and 13 (unlucky) and the color red (blood). Sometimes it's small things like if i put my hair up it will affect the outcome of the day. Is this OCD?

there are specific numbers i like for specific reasons. 73 80 88 86 7 3 77
i won't spell the word "probably" "prolly" because i'm afraid somethin will happen. I also think things like, "One of the Enter Keys on the keyboard will make the computer go faster, i just have to choose which one." and also if i've worn my hair down for a couple of days and i need to put it up i think "this might affect the outcome of my day, should i do it?" it's so annoying thining like this all the time, it's almost like i'm paranoid! my dad used to have symptoms of OCD like balancing things out. he tells me that i'll grow out of it. it's been like this my whole life. I'm 14

Sure, you have a slight case of OCD.....it's not a big deal as long as you can still handle your life.....everyone has some OCD (called eccentricities, hangups, neurosis, quirks, etc.), as long as you can still function, it is not serious.....you can make light of it, say "no" to it occasionally, find self-help books or support groups. You will find that many others have it WAY worse than you! Try setting limits, saying things outloud like " I am checking the phone, Yup, it's hung up! I don't have to check again!" then when you DO check again, " See, I told you, it IS hung up!"
Just a suggestion; others in recovery probably have better & more suggestions than I do....

I do stuff like that only not its that extreme (for example, I avoid doing things 3 times!!) but I dont think its OCD. OCD disrupts ur daily life and as far as I can read, this doesnt seem to disrupt ur daily life so I think its just the way u r.

Yes I think so...
At least you recognize the weirdness.... You have too many OCDs that it may prevent you from doing things you want to do.
But I think it can be fixed. Try starting with the little things ... like go out and buy yourself a red shirt and wear it.

This sounds exactly like OCD or OCPD. Those disorders can be treated by therapy or medicines. I suggest you see a psychologist or some other professional that specializes in mental disorders. They can be of a lot of help. Good luck!

Sounds like it. I have similar symptoms (the numbers. I like the number 7 though), and I have OCD.Talk to a guidance counselor, and tell her you think you have OCD. she can reccomend what to do. I got evaluated and now am in treatment. don't worry, it's pretty common and treatable. good luck

Sounds like OCD you should see your doctor and see if you go to church if they have support groups. If you do not go to church find a good support group.
