This man is a diamond in the rough. He is sweet and giving, not too mention gorgeous. Anyhow I have developed a strong attraction to him. I cant seem to even talk to him anymore because I am too shy suddenly. He is 19 yrs older then me. (I'm 30, he is 49) I dont want to ask him out, it's probably not acceptable at my work. I think he may hesitate because of our age difference, although it doesnt bother me. I'm not sure if he has a girlfriend but there is no wife or kids for sure! There has been some mild flirting, from what I perceived. What can I do or say to him and also in the process not embaress myself completly?

I'm that guys age, well close to it anyway. If it were me, I would say go for it.
I know, although I might flirt with ladies your age, I would be reticent to ask her out on a date, due to the age difference. However if she asked me, then, I'd jump at the chance.
Next time, he visits, see if you can't arrange to have him join you for a coffee, in the cafeteria, or coffee shop. Just say, it's to talk about your parent.
It's much easier to talk to someone, over coffee or a soft drink, and you can feel him out, about going out sometime on a date.
It may not work, but I'm sure if you don't try it, sooner or later you will regret not trying.
I'm sure, like me, he will be delighted by your offer.
If for some reason, he says no, at least you tried. But on the flip side, he can say yes, and it may be a new beginning for you both.
Good luck.

After your shift, start a conversation with him, and say, I am very hungry, would you like to go and grab a bite to eat with me? Either he will say that he is not very hungry, or he will say, sure, as long as you let me pick up the check..You don't have anything to lose, and everything to gain. Good Luck..

Don't pass this up, pull him aside and tell him you have something to discuss, men love giving advice, and solving problems. Figure out his profession, then, aquestion which is nt a yes/no, requires detail, "let's talk about it over coffee" He's one lucky guy. Play it cool, talk to him!
