JESUS IS GOD, came to earth in the form of a man, performed a lot of miracles, taught many about the kingdom of God. Men have sinned so much and have fallen short of the righteousness of God. Men can not save themselves from the wrath of hell when they die. Since Jesus loves us so much, He died on the cross to pay the price for our sins and therefore be saved if we repent of all our sins and receive Him as our Lord and Savior, so that when we die, we won't go to hell but go to heaven.

he died for all our sins ahead of time. What's so hard to understand about it. He KNEW that there would be more humans in the future, and he KNEW that those humans would sin. So he says, well if they're gonna keep living like this and sinning, I better do something so they can all be forgiven and have a shot at heaven. . . .

I hope that helps. I just don't see the confusion. Sorry. I'm glad you're taking an interest. Good luck my wonderful friend!!!

What a good question. Jesus died for the sins of all of us...even now, 2,000 years later. Every sin you have ever committed; in the past, today, for the rest of your life...the blood of Jesus Christ reaches forward and cleanses you from all of it. That is, if you believe.

God promises that if we confess our sins He will put them "as far away from us as the east is from the west and remembers them no more". Only the power of God can do something like that.

How is it possible? Because He said it is. And I mean that as a friend. You can trust His word with your life.

Jesus was watching from heaven when Adam and Eve sinned. He knew that their sin would be passed on to all their children and there would be no possible way for anyone to be reconciled to God again---UNLESS another perfect man could be found to stand in for (adopt) all the children. This man would have to remain perfect his whole entire life in order to be a perfect substitute for what Adam lost. Therefore, he chose to come to earth as a human and fulfill that requirement. He did and then, he presented the value of his perfect human life to his Father in heaven and now God looks at us through Jesus and not as we are in our current sinful state.

That's a tough one. I mean, Columbus discovered America, no!? Um, the thousands of natives already living on Caribbean islands he "discovered" knew nothing about Jesus. But the "explorers" that tagged along with him made certain that the natives had a place to go to to meet their maker after being bludgeoned, beaten, and chopped to death. Now ... let's multiply this by about 500 years.

Do you suppose the natives knew anything about dying for sins?

Jesus came and died for us so that our sins could be forgiven.

There's quite a difference in what I just wrote and what you wrote ... that Jesus "died for our sins."

Both sorrow for sins and true repentance is required by God for forgiveness.

Before Jesus died on the cross, we were all in slavery to Satan, sin , and death, and nothing we could do would be able to fix that.

True repentance was impossible, as long as we remained under Satan's domination and control, so sins could not be forgiven.

Jesus' death on the cross at the hands of Satan and his minions (Jews & Romans) resulted in Satan losing all the power and control he enjoyed over mankind.

Now free from slavery to Satan, thanks to Jesus, we are also free to truly repent.

Freedom from Satan due to Jesus + Sorrow for sins + True repentance = God's Forgiveness

That's how Jesus' death made possible the forgiveness of our sins ... anytime and anywhere.

Jesus died for our sins because when Adam and Eve ate the apple then God put them out of the Garden of Eden that was the start of sin, man tried to get right with God many times after that with sacrifices and since God knows no sin and can not tolerate sin man could never have a sacrifice good enough until God sent Jesus to earth to be the sacrifice for mankind since jesus was the perfect sacrifice for he lived a life without sin and therefore he was put on a cross to die for our sins and to be a bridge between man and God. It is truly said by jesus that the only way to the Father is by me. He lived a sinless life and was without sin so if you believe in Jesus and that he died and was raised up from the dead in three days and confess your sins then God grants you salvation from your sins and on the last day when all are judged because of your belief in Jesus your sins will not be seen by God for the blood of Jesus covers them and allows you to share heaven with him for God does not remember them

I know i'm alittle late answering your question but i enjoy trying to help people understand that Bible more and the things God does, i'm only 16 and i don't know everything but i can sure try to help. Jesus deid for our sins to save us from eternal punishment, an eternal life in damnation in hell, in burning sulfur, instead he loved us so much that he was willing to come down to earth and be with us, all because he loves us, God knew who you were and had planned you before your great great grandparents and their ancestors were born, so he died for everyone of your sins in advance that spectacular day, He died for everyone, the unbelievers, the homosexuals, the murderers and the immoral, and everyone else in between and all around those categories, because he loves us. When we sin we are to come to him and repent, it's already been forgiven but he wants to hear it from your mouth. Jesus died and rose again, because he's God, he's all powerful, and his love makes it all worth-while.
I hope that helped, God Bless, and it takes alot of faith to aska question like that, and i'm sure he's proud of you.

You see Jesus Christ is God. When He became human, He gave human beings a special dignity, but he's still God, with all the magnificence involved in being one. With me so far?

Okay, now when he was tried by the people, tortured, crucified and died. Imagine what he could have done to them.. with all his power and authority... but he didn't... Why? Becuase his suffering was supposed to be so acute ( I mean a God was suffering... willingly.... imagine that.) to be equivalent to all the sins that His people (us... you... me... our forefathers and our great grandchildren) had, has and will ever make...

Hope this helps... God bless...

Think of his death as a get out of jail card.

We sinned, all of us, anyone who ever lived.

Jesus came and paid the price for our sins, and left His card that reads. "This card is signed with my blood and is good for one get out of jail free."

Actually it would read, "Be cleansed of sins free", but I wanted something you could indentify with.

It applies to everyone no matter when or where they lived. When Jesus lifts them out of the ground or sea or wherever they are, they will be eligible for one total forgiveness of all sins.

It wouldn' t matter how long you sat in jail, if someone comes to pay your fine you are released.

Hope that helps.
