I figure some of the guys are already in hell here on earth with the amount of alimony they have to pay.
If it was a bad marriage, why should a couple suffer when they can find someone to be happy with and give joy to God then? You said not abuse--but what kind did you mean--physical? There are way too many men that abuse their wives mentally and emotionally with controlling methods that make the wives' lives hell.
Are you saying people who should get divorced should repent the rest of their lives because they're afraid of going to Hell? Remember, God gave humans free will. We may not always choose the right action, but it's our decision. If I still understand the Catholic Church correctly, if a person is divorced, or marries a divorced person, he/she cannot receive the sacraments. Isn't that punishment enough?
Frankly, I think when it's our time to die, God bases his forgiveness on the totality of our lives--not whether we made a mistake in marriage. He's supposed to be a kind, loving, compassionate, forgiving God and I think he extends that mercy to us at death. Hell is reserved for the truly evil people.

Depends on whether they are Christian or not.
If they have NEVER repented of their sins and asked Christ in the heart, then yes, they will go to hell. But if they are Christian, then they will go to heaven no matter what sin they may have committed.

Let's see what God says about it:
Matthew 5:32
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
Matthew 19:9
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.
Matthew 5:27-30
27"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'[e] 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

people go to hell when they have no Jesus in their lives as their savior.because Jesus is given to man by God to save and forgive us.
now,a person who really follow Jesus Christ would surrender all of his life to Him,including repentance of his past sins.God graciously forgives.
why, are you a divorcee?
is it bothering you so much?tell me........
just come to Him and he'll forgive you.he'll save you from hell as well

Given the circumstances you gave as additional details...i don't think so that one would go to hell even unrepented because am sure no divorce will ever happen without any good reason...

If any person repents of their sins and turn to Jesus in sincerity and humility, he will forgive the person.
For a brief explanation of the gospel (of salvation through Jesus Christ), see http://www.godsci.org/gs/new/essence.htm...

Do you really think anyone here really knows? And if you're going to make loopholes, you just confuse the issue.
