For all the people who now have been offended by me trying not to please. It is a question did i downgrade any of you at all?

Apperantly this has got under some peoples skin. And in my eyes it was just a question. I did not degrade anyones faith or belife i only ask did any one think it was. This belief was first perpetuated during the Protestant Reformation, though most church-goers today do not realize this. Martin Luther and other reformers, in an attempt to win people over to their "new' version of Christianity, effectively went on a smear campaign to make the Catholic Church look as bad as possible. This is where ths idea of the Catholic Church being the whore of Babylon and the Pope being the Anti-Christ, came from.

The RC IS NOT the whore in Revelations, that is a fallacy spread by Jack Click and some very fringe fundamentalists and Christianzed cults. If you check out the Click zines the man is crazy and really hates the Catholic church, think about it the whore and fuss about the 7 hills, The Vatican is not even in Rome it's it's own country outside of Rome and not on a hill, and the woman we honor is the mother of Jesus Christ for her saying yes to God.

Revelations was not written for us, but was, as we now know, written for the earkt Church in persecution. By the way, every single Christian religion came out of the Catholic Religion. Catholic means universal-for all, as Christ intended it. Most Christian breakaway/Protestant religions follow many of the same practices and/or beliefs...in other words, they tweaked and cherry picked Catholic theology. AND most did so in the recent past, say no more than 500 years. And isn't it amazing how many Protestant/breakaway religions had their follower breakaway and tweak theology...sort of like a the Catholic Church is the tree and Protestant churches are roots, and from those roots there are off shoots and there are off shoots from some of the off shoots as well....please do some research. PS: I'm agnostic, so I have no reason to want to defend the RC Church. I just think that your question is really ignorant and offensive.
