If you want to sew on a standard machine....it is called a sewing machine. Cost for new one is $190 USD(low features) to $1000 USD for all the possible features, and a used one might sell for $25-100 USD. It is very hard to kill or even break a sewing machine so even a very old one is still ok for the average person. A used one may need to be serviced ($20 USD) if the "tension" is out of balance. That is about the only thing that can be wrong with a machine that still runs.

Used Sewing Machines can be from 150 rupees to 1000 rupees.
New ones can be the same, it depends on the quality of the machine.
