I was foolish enough to drink coffee a couple of hours ago with friends (and it was good)...but now I have to get to bed, but I have a huge caffeine buzz, you know the type where you're hyper and shakey and you're completely alert? I don't have any cough medicine or sleeping pills handy. Anyone know how to get rid of a coffee buzz? Well? Well? Well?

Don't do anything agitating like exercise, it'll make it worse. Drink two glasses of water. And eat something salty. Maybe the salt will retain the water and dilute the caffeine. Don't eat anything with sugar! Make a tuna salad sandwich or something. Drink the water before and while you eat not after, or else you won't digest the food and you'll get an upset stomach.

Get some excercise, the increase in body activity will help process the caffeine more quickly. Or have some booze to ounter the effects. Or just make the most of your alertness and keep answering for a couple of hours.

I eat a double cheeseburger. Digesting the beef and cheese gives me something to do with the energy.

Eating is a good idea...though you normally shouldn't before bedtime.
