No, most cats don't like their bellies rubbed cause first of all laying on their backs exposing their bellies makes them feel very vunerable and they are sensitive too.

Most cats don't let their owners pet them on the stomach (my cat is a rare exception to the norm).
The kitten needs her shots, and a checkup by the vet.
It's cool that you brought a stray to your house. More ppl need to adopt stray animals. If they would neuter their animals, there would be fewer strays starving in the streets!!

most cats don't like there belly rubbed .I'd pet my cat on her belly in short intervals [once in while every few days]she doesn't bite or claw me like she did in the beginning.I have had her 4 years now.and i get away with petting her there all the time now ,but she doesn't let any one else pet her there. So maybe it's a bonding thing or something.

Animals are most vunerable underneath where only skin protects their vital organs so they are very protective of that area. When a cat trusts you completely he will lie on his back without fear. Don't force it, he might just not like it. We don't all like all types of affection. The purpose of giving affection is for the receiver not the giver so figure out what he likes and do that instead.

My cat hated having her belly rubbed too. She liked having inbetween her ears rubbed. And maybe you should check to see if she is pregnant (if its a she) like the other person said. You also need to have routine vacinations done.

If it's a male cat, the reason is he's actually getting sexually stimulated, and the first thing he does is to latch on (just like he does when he mates-like my ex used to say "they like it rough") Doesn't matter if he's neutered or not, it's innate.
If it's a female, it could be the vulnerability issue (have you had her for a while?) it could be worms (is she really skinny?) or she could be pregnant. Call the vet if you have any doubts.

This is normal kitty aversion, to you touching a sensitive part of hims tummy.
most kitties dont like thier tummy rubbed. All cats are persnickity and think they own thier people. so only if you want him to play rub his tummy. when you know he dosn;t like it. If he bites, do not jerk away, stop. hold perfectly still. and say. NO. loudly. He will get the point that this is play and not to be aggressive when you do touch his tummy.

MOST CATS DON'T LIKE IT, THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET AWAY WITH DOING THAT TO MY CAT IS WHEN SHE'S LAYING ON HER SIDE AND I RUB HER HEAD AND BELLY AT THE SAME TIME BUT IT DOESN'T LAST FOR LONG.

I've never had a cat that liked a belly rub. No problem here.

Most cats don't they aren't that trustworthy. Unless you have an overly affectionate one. I have, never before seen a cat like him, tolerates, even goes to my 2 year old daughter. This cat even lets the dog massage his neck with his mouth!
