DC?
Actually AD is not "after death." It is the latin phrase Anno Domini, and it means, "In the year of our Lord."
The more accepted term for BC, "Before Christ," is the term BCE, meaning "Before the Common Era."

I've never heard of D.C. as a means of designating a time around Jesus. A.D. isn't after death though. 1 A.D. starts the first year of his life. A.D. is Anno Domini and means "In the Year of the Lord" in Latin.

By D.C. I'm guessing you mean "During Christ ('s time)"
A.D. is Anno Domini meaning "In the year of our Lord" which would mean from then till now as Christian's view Jesus as a resurrected form of God (and the Holy Trinity) that accended into Heaven without having died again.
If this isn't what you meant, plz give us a better understanding of what you're trying to understand....we'll help.

In old terminology BC before christ, and AD Anno domini, (in the year of the lord)
New religion free terminology is CE Common Era and BCE, Before Common Era.
There is no year "0"..goes from 1 BCE to 1 CE
DC is in Maryland, your president is a joke there.

A.D. stands for Anno Domini, Latin for "In the Year of the Lord," not "after death." I don't know what you're talking about with "D.C."

DC is a Comic Book company. It's also the second half of a rockin' Australian Band. But it's never been a calendar term.
