Mormons are not Christians!
Herre are some quotes from Mormon founding fathers:

"Christ was not begotten of the Holy Ghost...He was not born without the aid of Man, and that Man was God." Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, 1:18

"It is true that many of the Christian churches worship a different Jesus Christ than is worshipped by the Mormons or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." LDS Quorum of the Seventy member Bernard P. Brockbank, The Ensign, May 1977, p. 26

Instead of the eternal Jesus co-equal with the Father, the Mormon Jesus was once a man who achieved godhood by his own virtuousness during a preincarnate existence. His spirit was then impregnated into the virgin Mary by the "Eternal Father" who came from the planet Kolob for the physical union with her.

Mormonism teaches that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers who competed for the opportunity to become the savior of planet earth. Jesus' plan won approval and Lucifer rebelled and became the tempter and deceiver of planet Earth.

# Brigham Young said that the "Christian God is the Mormon's Devil..." (Journal of Discourses, Volume 5, page 331).

# John Taylor said that Christianity was "hatched in hell" (Journal of Discourses, Volume 6, page 176) and "a perfect pack of nonsense...the Devil could not invent a better engine to spread his work..." (Journal of Discourses, Volume 6, page 167).

Here is a link...read well and be enlightened. Everything I have researched from this page has proven to be true.

In a nutshell.

They believe Joseph Smith was a modern prophet that restored the gospel through Revelation directly from God. They also believe the book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants are more or less "extensions" of the bible direct Revelation from God concerning lost gospels of early American peoples.
They believe Jesus to be the son of god and "holy redeemer" in-fact they believe all that is in the bible as well as their own gospel. They no longer believe in polygamy, they are more or less technology and money loving conservative republicans.

The LDS have self assurance that Joseph Smith grow to be a prophet of God, that the e book of Mormon is real and divinely stimulated, that God grow to be as quickly as a guy who stepped forward to godhood by using preserving the guidelines and ordinances of the Mormon Church, and that the Mormon Church grow to be divinely time-honored. The LDS have not got self assurance interior the Trinity. To them, God the daddy, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit are 3 different beings.

There are three main Mormon Beliefs that are Contradictory to Christian Belief:
A) They believe that God was once a man,
B) That men can become gods,
C) And that there are many Gods (Polytheism)
"First, we believe that God is a being with a body in form like a man's; that he possesses body, parts, and passions; that in a word, God is an exalted, perfected Man. Second, we believe that somewhere in some time in the ages to come, through development, through enlargement, through purification until perfection is attained, man at last, may become like God - a God" - Mormon Doctrine of Deity [Infobase Collector's Library, Infobases, Inc.], Chapter one.

They say that they believe Jesus is the son of God, but all you have to do is Look at the nicene creed and it is evident that Mormons aren't christians:

We believe in one God, The Father the almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth...
...And in Jesus Christ, his only son, our lord, Eternally begotten of the father / God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God / Begotten, Not made, (here's the zinger) one in being with the Father / Through Him all things were made, etc.

This "One in being with the father" is something that Mormons don't, believe, and it is something that all christians (apart from the Monophysite sect, maybe) believe, so therefore mormons are not really christians.

Lets see, where to start.....
they will become GODS and GODDESSES and populate their own planets.
that there are 3 levels of heaven and only Mormons get to the top one.
they believe that Jesus crucified was not enough to save us, that we must still do works.
they believe that they are the only true church and all others are apostates.
They believe that Black people were a cursed race and just barely allowed them into the religion.
shall I go on. Look it up online. there are a ton of information about it. of course according to them it is all lies.

my husband is a mormon and he believes in Jesus and God because Jesus is God's son. But the mormons believe in Joseph Smith who was like a disciple and they have their own book of mormon with the Bible too.

Joseph Smith replied to this question in 1842:

We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.

We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

We believe that these ordinances are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.

We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.

We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon this continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things
