Actually, that's a very good question. Kids/people often rebel...discard their upbringing...disavow their religion... not sure if they are merely a product of their upbringing or not, wondering if they are "brainwashed. "
It's important to know why you believe what you believe, and sometimes we have to break away from the pack to discover the answer. Often, kids come back and embrace the things they were taught because they had breathing room to discover the answers for themselves. Wise parents and groups allow people to take this journey. Either way, since you're asking....you're not brainwashed.

Simple... if you voted for Bush the second time around, you are brainwashed.
If you listen to Rush Limbaugh and/or Sean Hannity, you are brainwashed.
If you read Ann Coulters book, you are brainwashed.
If you vote republican in the next election, you are brainwashed.

with the constant media bombarding us from all sides I would say we all are to some extent. an example would be ... have you ever went and bought say... a new T.V. say a big screen, and you get it home set it up and think to yourself that's aw some, the next day you still think pretty cool, 2 months from now its just a T.V. and now you owe 2 grand for your new T.V. You were brainwashed into consuming.
