my boyfriend is having knee surgery and i want to get him something what do i get him..?

How about a nice poem. Hand written by his lady, not much of that going around anymore. I bet that it would mean more to him than any expensive gift that you could get him. Write him something nice about how you met, how you've grown as a couple, your hopes and dreams, how much he means to your live, etc. Good luck writing and best of luck to your boyfriend and his knee surgery. I'm getting a new knee myself next month and can't wait for it.

Magazines related to his interest or a nice big basket of junk food. Candy always makes "boo boos" better.

get him stuff to keep him busy while he's off his leg
magazines
handheld video games (or games for a console system he has--xbox, nintendo, playstation, etc)
book
dvds or dvd box sets of a tv show he likes
and candy and a cute stuffed animal :)
