what would u do if u found out that sum1 u new 4ever turned out to be doing drugs?

i've known him since we were really little. i loved him like a little brother and am now beggining to love him in a different way- but i can't date sum1 who does drugs. i dont want him to get hurt... my mom died b/c of drug abuse.

Tell him how you feel about it and make sure that you tell him that you lost your mom because of this reason. Tell him that you care about him and that is why you are talking to him about this. If that doesn't work go to someone who will help you like a counselor or another adult that you trust.

My bro died, partly because of drug abuse. He commited suicide,....we don't exactly know if it was the drugs that made him depressed...or if the depression made him use drugs to numb the pain.
He has been your friend forever, so it shouldn't be too hard to win his trust. Obviously he needs a good friend, someone who is not afraid to tell him that what he is doing isn't good for him. Your friendship is so important for him, because I'm assuming that most of his friends right now are the "bad crowd". Don't give up on him,.....just be available as a friend,....remain a good example for him. That's all you can really do.

Kick their ***. That's what I do. None of my close friends or family does drugs, and if I ever find out otherwise, they'll get a can of woopass for a cure to the addiction.

Get him help. Whether you date him or not, find him help. Involve his parents, school counselors (I don't know how old you are), other friends, any one who can help him. Find a way to get him into counseling or rehab. Ask around, someone will be able to help.
