I'd think that Europe has more bilingual people...lots of different countries in fairly close proximity. I'd think that maybe Switzerland would be the most multi-lingual country...they have four official languages, after all, and are centrally located. Good question...

I'm flattered that you all think Europeans are so multi-lingual! Truth is, I think African are the most multi-lingual people, because of the huge ethnic diversity within a lot of countries there. Coupled with poor education systems, this means the official language of the country (often a European one) is not spoken by the majority of the population. For this reason, as an ordinary African, you're obliged to learn the languages of your fellow man! Or at least get by in multiple tongues. You could even take South Africa as an example with its 11 official languages. Particularly if you work around people a lot, youre going to speak many of these (including white South Africans). I also agree about India. Long live the polyglots!

I'd say Africa, since English tends to be the lingua franca in Europe. They have a whole crapload of languages in Africa: Swahili, Arabic, Wolof, Fulani, Afrikaans, !Kung...

Ebonics is English, British is English in a British accent, Southern is English in a Southern accent, Canadian is English in a Canadian accent, and neither Pig Latin or Double Dutch are certainly languages, merely mangled codes of English. So certain, with merely English and Spanish, you're bilingual.
