Crap, it's pretty evident that most people answering have no clue what a Lucid dream is. If you don't know what a lucid dream is why are you even answering this? :)
A lucid dream is a dream where you consciously "wake-up" within the dream itself. You can then control it and manipulate it according to your own free will. Since you are no longer subconsciously dreaming but are wide awake inside the dream world, it does count as sin. If sin is a conscious decsion to do something that is unrighteous, and if in a lucid dream you are conscious, than it follows that it must be a sin correct? God bless.

I'm a former Christian, an apostate. I am also a strong advocate of lucid dreaming as a tool for people to work on their own minds. Yes. In Christianity it is possible to commit a mental sin or a sin of intention. The actual spiritual concept is that you have allowed yourself to imagine something that you feel is wrong for you. You've had a mental experience of something that you feel sinful about and you feel guilty about it. If you wish to remain Christian and remain truthful to yourself, you must ask for forgiveness and give up the part of your fantasy life that is troubling you.
You would not feel right about doing otherwise. I hope this helps.

"semi-conscious" is the key term here. I've never been able to fully control my lucid dreams. So I would dissagree with anyone that told me what enters my mind unconsciously or semi-consciously, or even consciously was wrong or unacceptable; religiously or otherwise. It's not often one can control what enters his mind when the mind wanders. To be judged for this would be immoral. It's the physical actions that have an effect on one or more persons other than yourself that God or man is concerned with.

i think not
Some dream doctors think that it would be a bad idea to always take control of your dreams, even if you could. If our dreams really are a way to let our minds think differently and deal with information about life, then trying to control them would stop our brains from doing important work. Even if dreams are just play time for our minds, taking control might be like hogging the ball in a basketball game, never letting our minds get a chance to relax and work out all the stress of everyday living!

I have been a Christian for over 30 years and occasionally I have had a dream that I remember when awake. If the dream had adult content or involved myself involved in something I know to be wrong...I simply say sorry to God and ask Him to cleanse my mind and forgive me. Our subconsious mind is still part of us and we need cleansing and growth in every part of our being. Often our dreams are our mind untangling things or making sense of things or perhaps exploring something we would not explore in real life. Sometimes our dreams are messages from God so I ask Him to reveal their real meaning and what I should learn from the dream. Sweet dreams.

DO not forget God made us he knows our hearts and our thoghts he also does know we are humans and have human nature such as have dreams or think of things thats are not our fault and so I dont think it is a sin because you are not consious about the things you do in a dream but if this trully bothers you you can pray about it and ask for God's help or ask for answers cuz he trully knows the answers of these things

Sin is SIN in thought word and deed. Yes, dreams can be sinfull.
We are ALL born with original sin. Then we also sin by the things we do (thought, word, deed) and the things we left undone.
To think you are NOT sinning at this MOMENT is very dangerous, and I would encourage you to think of it differently. We can't ask for forgiveness of our sins if we don't recognize the sins we are committing.

I think that in the long run it just doesn't really matter. If you believe in God enough to worry about sinning in your dreams, then you should realize that God loves us and won't punish us for silly inconsequential things. If you are really afraid God would punish you for this then I think you need a different view on God.

No one can reasonably be held responsible for anything that occurs in a dream. But, absent evidence, there is no reason to believe in god or in sin.

Think about it. Everything in life is junk, seducing you to live longer. One thing keeps people trapped in life, perfection. Everyone wants to be better than everyone else. Once you realize that perfection is meaningless, then you see clearly that life isn't of God at all.
