Congratulations on your adorable new addition. The best advice would be to "have patience". If you have purchased the pads with the odor in them to entice a puppy to void there, that is good. Simply keep putting the puppy on the pad when he or she makes the motions of having to go "potty". Rush him or her to the pad and when she or he does use the pad (even if he missed a little), give out huge praises and pats and hugs. Eventually your cute little pup will learn to use the pad. Keep in mind that all pets do have some accidents.
When you want to start training to go wee wee outside, simple move the pad closer and closer to the door until it is time to put it outside.
I did this with my black lab Joey and although I needed tons of patience, it really did pay off. He only has an accident maybe once a year if that.
Best of luck and give puppy a hug from me.!!

Wee wee on it to set an example!
I'm kidding. Everytime the dog starts to piddle pick him up and
place him on the pad. Keep doing this until he gets the idea.
Praise him when he finally gets it.
He must be absolutely adorable. I have a pug and a cockapoo.
I'd imagine a maltipoo is precious. Good luck training him and
enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

There are actually some training pads that are supposed to draw the dog to that certain area, I haven't had a chance to try them, but I'd like to. Another thing is and this may sound odd, but try stimulating him by getting a wash cloth or paper towel and rubbing in little circles around his genitals, then when he starts to go make sure he's on the training pad.
You may want to leave snacks around the training pad as well, let him get accustomed to it. Good luck!

first of all...Boxers have very soft short-haired coats and can get chilly very extremely. Your doggy should not be drowsing outdoors, and that i might say if he's howling for some hours formerly he supplies up, then he would not Like Being outdoors in his kennel at night. doggies could be socialized and that i might in no way advise putting a doggy outdoors to stay by applying itself...this extremely would not make any experience to me in any respect. circulate your doggy into the dwelling house and enable him the two sleep in a crate or a canines mattress interior the warmth temperature. BTW: I examine your different question and NO...it won't help getting yet another doggy to throw outdoors with the 1st one. Having 2 canines is plenty greater artwork than having one, and what your doggy desires stunning now could be YOU no longer a pup chum to play with. you'll be taking this time to bond along with your canines, practice your canines, love your canines.

My mothers dogs use those pads but they don't always work. Sometimes they will pea on anything on the floor similiar to that of the pad so be careful. The dogs come to my house and never even act like they ever seen one of those things. Drives me nuts. I would just teach my dog to go outside! Every hour make sure you take him outside and let him use it out there. Much more sanitary! When he does have a accident in the house roll up a old newspaper and scold him and then immediately take him outside. Make sure you rub his nose in it first so he will know why you got on to him.

Put him on the pad after every meal, then praise him and make a big deal when he goes.
Put him on the pad every couple of hours.
Catch him in the act somewhere else and pick him up and put him on the pad right away so he can finish it there. Then praise him.
He will learn fast if you are consistent. Don't stick his nose in it.

I hate the regular pee pads. They never worked for me and my chihuahuas. Let me tell you what has worked for us. I buy baby crib pads, made for baby beds. They can be laundered over and over again and my dogs use them all the time. They always shredded the other pads.
