The have an antidigestive you can sprinkle on fresh terds and other such things. Look for it at pet smart or other quality pet stores. It's worked wonders on deterring my cats from licking at their throw up.

There is a product called Forbid that you put in their food. It makes the poop come out tasting horrible and conditions them to stop. You don't have to do it forever...just consitently for a week or so....you may have to repeat intermittantly just as a reminder.

Call your vet or go to a pet store. See if you can find something for it.
I had a dog who did that- I talked to my vet and he gave me the name of a product- don't remember the name, but basically, it's super-high doses of Vitamin C. He told me to put it on her food, and it would make her poop taste nasty to her... I think the stuff was Rid.. don't quote me on that, though.

I heard there is something you can feed them so they won't eat their own turds.
Then to keep them from eating other dogs turds you have to just catch them in the act each time and get them to spit it out--consistently--and say YUCK!. Most of them usually catch on.
Don't punish them. They won't get it.

go to the vet, they can give you something to add to his food so that when he does his duty, the turds are not as tasty as he remembered they were, and will stop eating them.
