She spent a week with her father while i was in hospital having back surgery but that was almost a month ago. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me?????

Yep it's a phase some go thru. Out of 3 I only had it with one...the baby. It passes on it's own. Appreciate while you can, when it's gone...you'll miss it.

Yes. Our son was and still is clingy from time to time. He's now almost 10 yrs old and the reason he gets clingy is due to anxiety. School is starting soon and our son wants "hugs" all the time. This is a sign of anxiety and we are still learning to deal with this.

Maybe there is a reason that you may not be aware of. if she goes to a daycare or a babysitter, she may be afraid of going for some reason. Yes, some kids are just naturally clingy too. :0)

Try finding out what the problem may be.

"clingy" happens because they are afraid of something....imagined or real. Maybe they had a bad dream, maybe something they saw scared them, maybe they were threatened with words, maybe scared by a raised hand or someone for some reason they fear, or even from someone wearing strange clothes or a new haircut, or even from being shocked by a rug.....try and figure out which it is.

I was very clingy to my Mom,she had a hard time finding baby sitters for me because I would cry everytime she would leave.She actully had to quit her job because of me,I was also born with a cleft palate so I needed a lot of attention.
