Yes. If you sleep more than 2 or 3 hours beyond your normal nights sleep, you will be groggy and sluggish.
If you want to make up for lost sleep earlier in the week, this is all that you can make up. And only for a couple of nights. Then, just go back to sleeping your usual number of hours.
