i like one of my guy friends. we dont hang out much but we talk on myspace and AIM alot. he's really sweet and nice. if he lived in the same town as i do we'd hang out alot more but he lives an hour away from me. i want to tell him that i like him but im kind of shy. what should i do ?

The best thing you can do in this case is try to guage whether he has the same feelings for you. On one hand, he might and the best thing to do then would be to tell him your feelings and see what comes of it. On the other, if you feel he doesn't, you can either tell him and risk the friendship if he gets weird about it (because anyone would if they aren't mature enough) or just stick it out for a while without telling him.
The distance thing is only a problem when someone doesn't want to make the commitment of travelling that distance. An hour isn't so bad and I'm sure (if) the relationship starts to 'blossom', then you both can work on seeing each other as much as possible.
All that said, just tread carefully because sometimes friendship is more precious and it does hurt a bit more when you lose a friend after telling them your feelings.
Another thing you could do is try to hang out more in person because, in my opinion, face-to-face meetings are always more valuable and personal than over the internet communication.

I like one of my friends thats a boy too...the only time that we really talk is on AIM...but he lives like 20 minutes away from me...we hung out a couple of times...but n e way...when I liked him it was pretty obvious, but I just straight up told him that I liked him...it is a lot easier to do it over the internet...so maybe u should try it like that...trust me...it will work...so just try it and see what happens.

Just tell him that you really like him and if he likes you the same way he will end up asking you out just be completly honest with him.
