It is absolutely possible. People cheat for various reasons. For example, one of my best friends cheated on her husband because she found someone that truly cared for her (she is now married to him). She was in an abusive relationship and felt trapped until she found the strength to get out.
Now on the other hand, for people who cheat just to get laid....for those type of people it is probably harder to change.
The bottom line is YOU cannot change a person....they have to want to be changed.

I certainly believe it is possible for a person to change, no matter what oppressive or compulsive behavior they are held captive under. However, as with any undertaking, there first has to be a genuine desire and will to change, as well as an acknowledgement of a problem and a need to change. The problem with this is that people are helpless to fight such huge emotional, physical, and spiritual bondages by themselves. If they do, they will ultimately revert back to the bad behavior they are comfortable and familiar with. Instead, one needs to first, call on the all-powerful, all-knowing God, our Creator and Heavenly Father, who created us, and desires to have a personal relationship with us and wants us to live free and delivered from such demonic and destructive lifestyles. His love, peace, and healing is available at the breath of a prayer, as long as its from the heart, sincerely wanting to change. And secondly, surround yourself with like-minded friends/social circles for positive support and growth, staying away from people and places that foster the old behavior and lifestyle, eliminating the temptation to go back.
