I would evaluate my situation again. It sounds like a hopeless scenario to me and I do not like the feeling of hopelessness. In my experience, you will not be able to change a person's feelings towards you no matter how hard you try. If they do not share the same feelings for you then they will not magically develop them over time. For the second question, I would set them free. i believe that if a person loves me so much and I do not feel the same, then it is not fair for me to allow the other person to think otherwise. I would gladly continue to be their friend, but I would tell them to go with someone who will love them in turn.

I can tell you, from a personal experience, the answer to both of those questions is to end the relationship. As far as the first situation goes, if you give everything you have and the other person does not it is not a relationship. A relationship requires at least two people who care for one another. So if it is one-sided chances are you will get hurt by the apathetic person your affection is directed towards one way or another. Usually, these types of relationships end with that person cheating. If the tables were turned, I would first tell the person how I felt differently than they and that I would prefer to either slow the relationship down a great deal or terminate it. It's NEVER a good idea to continue a relationship with someone when you know only one person has deep feelings involved.

ok for the first part in my opinion if someone didn't love me back as much as I loved them, they are not worth my effort, however that is not to say not to treat them well or be nice to them :) I believe that love between a man and a woman or romantic love is worth any sacrifice on my part but only if they are willing to invest the same sacrifices for me. So hard as it may be for me if someone did not feel the same way about me, I would move on to someone else who is worthy of my attention.
As for the second part I have been in that situation as well, I try to love the person as much as they love me. but if I still don't feel as much as they do for me I would break it off with them because it is not good to waste either of our time. the best thing to do is let them down gently because they are deserving of at least that (after all they do love you more than life) then they can go and find someone who will love and treat them better.

In either situation the best thing to do would be to end the relationship, save someone from getting more hurt.

those are some really hard ?'s but do you remember the saying........if you really love the person you should want what is best for them....so if you love them tonz and they don't love you back you must let them go because all you want is for them to be happy............and if you don't love somebody as much as they love you don't keep egging them on.....break up with them and let you both move on with your life

i'd move on.you can't make someone like you or love you. if it is one sided you'll always be on the side getting hurt if your the one in love. or you'll get taken advantage of if they know you'll do anything for them and you'll end up as the fool.
