Ok there are so many MISGUIDED ideas about other religions on here, so this is what I'm am asking of you...WITHOUT, bashing (even mentioning) a religion other than yours, tell me what your religion is, and its basic principles. Lets try to educate each other a bit on our religions, ideologies, etc.. I don't mean quote scripture, just tell us what your religion stands for.

For example: Technically I am Christian, However, I am that way only because I believe in Christ, not the entire bible, or all Christian ideas. I think all religions have valid points. I just do not affiliate with any "organized" religions. So tell me what your religious views are.
REMEMBER: NO BASHING, Please!!!!

I didn't say I didn't believe in his word. I said I don't necessarily believe in the entire bible. I believe the Bible was inspired by God, but written by man, there for their own perspectives would be placed upon it. I also know the new test. alone was written 2000 yrs ago, in Aramaic, then translated and rewritten millions of times. So I believe the Bible is a good guide for life, but not necessarily the only guide. As for my beliefs I have my own personal reasons for why I believe in him.

I hate to say it, but I am honestly starting to see why people have such a neg. view of Christianity. The only ones who haven't read (or paid attn.) to the question, especially the NO BASHING, please. Were those claiming to be Christian. The sad part is they were attacking another Christian. I am really disappointed in you. But I will not let that disway me from my beliefs.

I am Asatru. I worship the Old Gods of the Norse and follow the reconstructed Old Ways of the Northmen to the best of my abilities. I follow the Nine Noble Virtues and try to maintain frith (peace and harmony) and generally keep my personal orlog (kinda like karma) as clean as possible.

I am Christian also and feel pretty much how you do. I took a religion class in College and they told us the bible has been filtered through many many scholars and who knows if they were really translating it or changing things. I believe in the bible for most parts..but some of it might not be the word of God, but the word of a man that was translating. I dont have a church I go to, but I have always prayed and followed his words. I try to live life to make him proud!

I am a very devoted follower of the religion called "Christianbashism." My religion teaches peace and harmony until certain Christians (thank goodness not all of them) start becoming ridiculously arrogant, rude, stupid, and shameful. This is when my devotion really comes into play. I get a very intense emotional feeling of rage, annoyance, and frustration that any human being could be so freaking stupid. So then it is my duty to bash them a little. Nothing physical or violent. Just typing my feelings out with the keyboard. That's all. It's time to let 'em have it.

Sorry, you cannot pick and chose what parts of the Bible is God's word. Unless you want to start your own religion inspired by your opinions. I do not like religions. I believe that Jesus came to the earth to free us form religions, and to teach us to have a personal relationship with God.

To your question.
I am Christian. And I believe that Jesus Christ is a Son of living God, my Lord and Savior. I want to be with God forever, and I believe that Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. No one will enter to the father's house except through Him. I am His servant, I trust that He knows how to run His life saving business. I just run His errands.

I was raised a Christian which means exactly that, just raised that way. I have an appreciation for the beliefs of all people and religions. All religions have a common thread. They all have their pros and cons. I think it would be silly and ignorant to think that ones religion is the only "right" religion and path to personal enlightenment.

Congrats! You subscribe to religious syncretism - the very notion of which is rejected by any fundamentalist worth her/his salt. You should not be calling yourself a Christian - call yourself a Humanist, who sees good in all religions, something to learn from all faiths, and lots to reject in each. You are a thinker. Pat yourself on the back, and indulge in some christian-muslim-jew-bashing.

I am a Christian who believes 100% in the Bible.. It has always been my rock.. it never has been wrong.. and everything in it has only strengthened my belief... I believe that Christ was born of a virgin mother.. he died on the cross for our sins... he is the true son of God.. I believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit... I also have seen with my own eyes the power of God... I have witnessed non believers deaths and compared to Christians who have died it is very different.. my mother and mother in law were both Christians.. and a friend of mine was a Christian.. they all died peacefully.. even with smiles on their faces.. but my brother who died... and was not a Christian... He died with a horrible look on his face and tears were comming out of his eyes... it was very upsetting to see.. I hope that everyone at least reads the Bible and decides for your self what you believe.. but give the Bible a :)

Hmm... I'm kinda like you. I believe in Christ, and am technically a Catholic. But I'm not fanatic about it. Nor do I consider EVERYTHING in the Bible as absolute...

I have no religion. I have no use for religion. It's just a means to obtain wealth, gain power, and control the masses.

What makes you think you are a Christian? Or even close to it?

You would make a better Muslim. They don't believe in they're whole book either.
