Gay people say that they were born gay. Do you believe this? If God created man and woman, why would He create some people to be born gay?

I'm sorry but I can't believe that people are "born" gay. No one is the way they are because "they were born that way." Who you are and what you do is determined by the way you were brought up and all of the influences in your life.

Are you homophobic? I dont know why. I guess that is because I wasn't born gay. But some people are. I think it is true because I read that when I child is born if there right side of the brain develops & is bigger then the left then they will be a certin sex. I cant remember which side it is for which sex. But in the study they found that those whose brain was bigger on the wrong side were like 85 % of them were gay. Dont know. But I think that is kinda cool. They could tell if a child is probably goin to be gay or not just by there brain. Then again, i am not sure that i would want that done. If you had a kid & they said he was gonna be gay, that may have an effect on how you raise him. Some would try to make him mocho & others would encourage baby dolls. oh well, somethings should not be discovered at to young of an age, dont ya think?

There are several ways to explain the rationale behind why one is born gay. Look at a persons genetics. If you are born with a chromosomal disorder wherein your body produces more testosterone if you are female then tendency is you exhibit male behaviours and characteristics. That is the same as men born with higher levels of female hormones. It's like being diabetic with a sugar defficiency or having any other similar ailment. Now granted you believe that God created man, at times he creates us with medical disorders-right? So the reasoning that men are born with female characteristics may not be so far fetched after all.

Yes, I believe that people some people are born gay. I do not see this as a lifestyle choice. Medical researchers have found some physical differences in the brains of gay people and straight people. Now I won't even guess if God did this on purpose.

My personal belief is that most homosexuals are predispositioned that way. The degree of that predisposition determines if it is choice or fate. For most homosexuals, I would say that whatever genes that influence sexual orientation, they do not have a choice. People that claim bisexuality in my opinion are exercising a choice.

Furthering this idea, I think mostly the state of being a homosexual is not a choice but the behaviors are. Let's take a nun for example. She chooses to be celibate. Her predisposition may heterosexual, but it doesn't matter, she's celibate. But let's be honest she's still heterosexual.

So when you have a homosexual that gets married to a woman (Elton John as an example) it doesn't mean he's not a homosexual, he's just not behaving like one. But would you expect a man to have relations with another man just to fit in? What if he wanted a cool apartment in the Village or Key West? You wouldn't accept it. But acting contrary to their true selves is what some homosexuals would prefer to do to fit in, rather than be ostrasized.

Also, homosexual animals are found in nature. That could imply that as animals, we are not above that condition.

As for God and homosexuals, there is one major contradiction to work through. If he's omnipotent, omniscient, and infallible then homosexuality has to be okay because it's his creation and he makes no mistakes.

People need to examine what powers and abilities they ascribe to God to see if homosexuality is a contradiction or is God less powerful than they think?

Gay people were not born gay; they are possessed by demons. If God created people to be gay, wouldn't He have created gay cows, horse, pigs, and other animals. After all, they do reproduce like humans do. Being gay is a sin, so is being a liar, so are people born liars? No! There are possessed and need to shake off the demons that have strongholds in their life. They have no control of their minds and need to be rebuked and prayed for. They are possessed...God didn't create anyone to be born gay.

Scientifically some people are born with too many of the alternate hormones of their birth gender. But giving into the gay lifestyle is a choice. I hope you research morfatikes(spelling?). They are individuals who are born with both male and female parts. Before you judge a person, look at this world. God did not create Adam and Eve blind either but there are blind people. Remember that the sin in the garden changed everything that once was perfect and turned this whole world topsy turvey!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it matter if it is a choice or they were born that way or if it was a choice that they chose to be .. but to some of the answers not everybody does have a choice i am a mother of three they didnt give me a choice over the sex of my children god chose that and they didnt give me a choice as to did i want my son to have asthma and i didnt get to choose if my daughter almost died as an infant did i want any of that NO but i wasnt given a choice so how can any of you sit out there and say its how you are raised or how you choose to be noone chooses to be born def or blind or ill but they are a baby doesnt have the choice as to whether or not he is born alive or dead so dont give advice if you don't know what the hell you are talking about ...Life doesnt always give us choices so when WE do get the chance to make the choices for ourselves who doesnt take advantage of that.

No one was born gay! just like no one was born liking or loving the opposite sex. it's all about the choices you make in life! even though there are some people that may have been raped or sexual assaulted by the same sex, you don't have to be gay because of this awful thing. Its a choice you make. because no one is making you be that way.

I dont believe in gay/straight. Some people are naturally born attracted to the same sex, theres nothing they can do about that...im sure 50% or gay people would trade anything in the world just to be "politically right". Its not easy being "GAY" so i dont think people choice to be that. On the other hand theres alot of ppl who are very premicious and make any sexual preference look bad.

are you aware that some people are born with both sets of reproductive organs? Such folk are labeled 'hermaphrodite." Are you aware of such people? gee, if god can make them, why'd he make any single sex people?

you know that the same bible that thinks homosexuality is an abomination also says that eating shell fish is an abomination? that wearing two different fabrics together is an abomination?
even better - are you aware that jesus said - why are you concerned with that speck in your brother's eye when you have a log in your own? and that jesus said, 'ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.' so, why don't you get over your homophobia and face yourself (yes, a high proportion of gay haters are actually gay. you reveal yourself here - accept yourself.)

there are homosexual animals besides humans. besides, folks, the genes have been found. in addition, most people KNOW their gay son is gay from the youngest ages.

but, truly, if you take literally the ancient tales of a nomadic tribe from another part of the world, you have some real problems. as my precious precious father used to say, "don't get into a battle of wits unarmed."
