Put the wax on the place that is bugging you. If that does not help take some aleve or advil or tylonol whichever works best to ease the pain. An alternative I use to wax is chew sugar free gum and stick it on the place and rechew it every few minutes.
Hope this helps.

I remeber they hurt for a few days after every time the rubber bands were changed, but u get used to them being in ur mouth. You can try using the wax that came in your kit if some portion of the braces is really bothering you, otherwise c if the doctor can do something about it. Afterall, alot of us went through the braces phase and we survived. Look at the brightside- a perfect smile.

Your orthodontist should have given you wax and a numbing agent that you can use. just put the wax on your braces and the numbing solution on your gums. That is what happened to me. I think the best thing is time. Let your mouth get used to the braces, then is a while they won't bother you.

everyone is right wax is the only answer. I had and underbite and when I slept on my back the bottom of my mouth rested on the bottom braces and I woke with the exact imprints cut into my mouth. Well it only took a couple times of that happening and I waxed up for night time, every night.

You can buy dental wax...put a small amount over the area where the braces are rubbing your mouth sore and it works wonders! I used to have to do this all the time when I had braces.

put dental wax on the braces and that will cut down on this a lot. Also, I would rinse my mouth out with mouthwash and/or peroxide to help with infection.

Get dental wax and put it on the parts of the braces that are hurting your lips and tongue. You can buy this at a drug store, or get it from your orthodontist.

Go to your orthidontist and he will give you some wax, but honestly, the best thing for this is time. eventually your mouth will stop hurting when the skin gets stronger.

The dentist/ orthodontist can give you wax and you put it where ever there are pieces hurting you. If not then you can use cotton sticks and put them in your mouth.
good luck!
