How many people with wealth do you really know who are alone?
...When your poor, you're alone...If people with wealth are alone it's by choice, not by happenstance.
So, the question really is...would you rather live in the stench of poverty and not make an effort to pick yourself up and help the people around you realize their dreams by sulking in a corner complaining how ... you never got a chance in life...or
Would you rather have wealth and help people by offering them jobs, hope and a future?
I'll take wealth, millions,.... all I can get my hands on and share it with Jerry Lewis.

When I was young, I did choose love and poverty...and I guess if I had it to do all over again...I suppose I would. We didn't have much, but we were happy...but years later, the whole thing fell apart...and I was left with the poverty...but not the love. The moral to the story? I was very, very naive. Love and wealth are not mutually exclusive...anymore than Love and poverty. I see no point to wealth without love...and I see no point to poverty under any circumstances. There is a middle ground.

love and poverty any day...when I say love I mean happiness and peace. What most people believe is that with wealth (or money) comes happiness. Or that with poverty comes depression and fear. But that's not true. Happiness has nothing to do with your possesions...and everything to do with your mind. You can be in your worst circumstance and still have peace. It's a way of life. So many rich people suffer just as much as anyone else...because they have so much and it's so easy to try to fill the void they feel with drugs, alcohol, power, money...but they are never satisfied. That's why some of the poorest people in the world are the happiest...they are satisfied with their daily bread and they are still humble. They still have a connection to their creator and they thank him for their little blessings they have. They have faith in God because they have seen miracles firsthand...they depend on God daily because without him they could'nt make it. Now I don't mean that all rich people lack peace or happiness nor do I say that all poor men are happy. I am saying that happiness is not contingent upon everything going right in your life. It's a way of life.

Because I am a romantic, I would chose love and poverty. All the wealth in the world would mean nothing to me without love. I left my husband, who was a millionaire several times over, because I didn't love him. I am now a single mother and have been dating a "poor"man who makes me very, very happy.

I would choose wealth and loneliness. I know it sounds strange, but with today's society if you do not have money you really do have nothing. I cherish my friends and do live in poverty, but if I could get wealthy, I would do just about anything for it.

I would choose love and poverty. Being in love and being loved back is more important to me than having material things.

Love and poverty in a landslide. Money comes and goes but I think true love lasts forever. I can always make more money but true love is a blessing that you really have no control over, it just happens.

I know what being lonely feels like. I want out of it. I never want to be lonely again. I am not wealthy at all. I don't want wealth or loneliness EVER. I just want to be loved.
