old model sanyo tv's have relays.this is the device that is conected to the main power sourse inside the tv.it's main purpose is to cut and conect the power lines at a given time of command either from the remote or on the tv itself.every time you swicth on or off your tv.the gap on the contact points sparks causing it to jamm or stuck due to a long period of operation.if this happens,then your tv does not turn off.try hitting the remote and observe if you can hear a cliking sound inside the tv.probably you dont...(",)
