Other than hearsay (ie Muslims who claim after yet another terrorist attack by Muslims that Islam is really a religion of peace) and circumstantial evidence (eg the very few Muslims out there who condemn terrorism without adding "but Israel..."), is there any concrete evidence out there to say that Islam is a religion of peace ?
I think if being in a religion of peace were a crime and I was on the jury, I'd have to find the suspect innocent- there simply isn't any evidence to prove Islam is a religion of peace.

Actually the current wave of terrorism coming out of the Middle East started

In the US we have lots of "Christians". Many say that the bible commands "Thou shall not kill". Other Christians say God bless our troops. How many of those say "killing is wrong" without "but look at what they did on 9/11?" Believe it or not but Western world struck first in the Crusades by order of the religious leaders.
Today the Western World is reaping the seeds of hate that it's forefathers sowed hundreds of years ago. Is there enough evidence to prove Christians to be a religion of peace? Or are there wack jobs in all major religion?

beware, there are 1.3 billion muslims globewide and do u think if our religion thought violence then we would be on Yahoo answers. by this time there would be none save us.
if we really were so fascists as u people call us then all of u who r here to bad mouth islam, Allah, muhammed(pbuh) and muslims would have been death.
do u think 1.3 billion muslims would have spared u if we were terrorists?
i really wonder what is going to happen to people if they continously bad mouth muhammed(pbuh) by calling him a nymphomaniac or sexual offender.

i really wonder how they dont see? they have so many examples from history right in front of them yet they are doing the same mistakes again and again.
i wish that if this is what it has to be then, i would pray to Allah that He gives them a proof now. we muslims really need it. i dont care what will happen for the Armageddon or Apocalypse, but i think that it is the only way these ignorant people are going to learn.

Well one of the meanings of the arabic word for islam is to make peace.
Chirstianity is supposed to be a religion of love but there sure seems to be a lot of evidence that it creates a lot of hateful bigoted people.

Islam is a religion of peace AND JUSTICE, and if it takes violence to spread justice, then God has commanded all people to fight for it. It is better to fight than to let oppression and inequity rule the land.
how about if us americans had been "peaceful" when the british were taxing us and not giving us our full rights? we wouldnt even BE the united states of america, now would we?

Not everyone follows there religion. They think they are but there not. Christians and catholics you seee hate to. you never seen jewish person spitting off hate. only people who truely follow there religions are china and japan. you never hear anything bad happening over in those two countrys ever. Because they are more respectful in those countrys. thats all i have to say
