Shoppers or Costco.

I wish I could save "tons of money" on groceries.. In the past few months..I don't know about you, but I've sure noticed EVERY grocery store hiking up their prices. I do enjoy cooking and cook every night, but the expense of it all is just way higher than it was.
As far as saving money...??? I don't know anymore. I hope others are saving tons, because I'm not no matter where I shop.

I go to walmart for all food except meat. They're prices are lower than anyone around. Some dollar stores (Dollar General, Family Dollar) have pantry food. Meijer's is alright. And don't forget that some places (Walmart) honors coupons and sales from other stores. So if you see something on sale at like Meijers, take your flyer into walmart and they'll give you the sale price.

I've never heard of the 2 stores you name but if you have a large family I would recommend Costco. We shop there all the time and the cost of the yearly membership is more then paid for in the money we save.

Different markets and stores have the best prices on certain things.

Target - GREAT for cheese, fozen foods (Lean Cuisine for usually $1.50 - $2!!), yogurt, and sparkling water
Big Lots - they have a lot of cool, unique products there that you usually don't find in big markets. Frozen food there is usally really cheap too
Walmart - the one in my town *San Diego* isn't a Super Walmart, so we only have the basic food there. But, the juice, chips, and eggs are usually really cheap.
Longs Drugs - REALLY cheap eggs, Tab *my favorite energy drink!*, spices, and ice cream.

Hope that helps :)

Guess it depends on your region of the country, but in New England I'd say the cheapest places are Market Basket, Foodmaster or Hannafords.
