No...it's not you. I think the same thing. Rachel Ray (even though I do like her) acts like she's tasted the stuff she makes for the very first time...and of course she always has the face of "ooooo, it's soooo good"... I've never heard one chef say "boy..and this really sucks"... so, it's not you..I think the same way.

I know what you mean,there this female chef on T.v in Ireland called Darina Allen and l swear to god she drools and dribbles as she is cooking.

Once in a while it's annoying cause they are like mmmmm or ohhh delicious like they never ate it before it makes me cringe a little..........but don't get me wrong I love watching Chefs cook.

They probably do but keep in mind they're trying to "sell themselves". If they're not enthusiastic people won't tune in and then they're taken out of the stations lineup for the next season.

So annoying and I hate Emeril's audience, too. They start clapping and screaming when he says "Now, lets add some pepper to kick it up a notch!", whats so freakin exciting about pepper??

Yes, they have to keep the show interesting, to keep the ratings up or someone will come along, that is more interesting, and take their show away. It's a matter of theatrics
