My best (girl) friend (whom I have known for 2 years) had been flirting with me and I think she likes me, and I like her (alot!) and we were texting and she said she had no love in her life. Was this a hint to me or was she telling me she didnt feel that way about me?

i think you should get flirty with her as well and see her reaction.
maybe you can throw in the flirty joking such as "hey, i though i was the love of your life" and see how that goes.
dont jump into conclusion, cause if you ask her out and thats not the way she feels about you, you will ruin the friendship...
