so many women (in america) on average dont have a orgasm, and when sex isnt good(or they dont get a O) they blame it on the man. I have heard that a lot of times women are holding back while in sex( like not wanting to get wild cause they are afraid as to what their guy will think) do you think theres a connection? so many women are holding back that really its not always the man that isnt good at sex, its just her holding herself back?

yes i agree. i never had an orgasm until i was with my current bf. and it had nothing to do with whether or not the sex was good. i had good sex with other men. i just held back, because that's just part of my personality. it takes a lot for me to relax and really trust a person. and that's what I have with my bf. now he can't stop me from having multiple orgasms, lol.

This actually a very good question. Sex is a two way street... when only partner is putting out all of the effort, it won't be satisfying. I think most people think sex is something you just do and if it works it works, if it doesn't, then well.... I had problems for years achieving an orgasm, with me, I found a man who I love and who is patient and has taught me that sex is something beautiful and I don't have to hold back my emotions or my desires. But getting to that point didn't happen over night. I think if men and women would be more open about what they want out of sex there wouldn't be a need for questions such as this one. Peace.

I think that I am lucky in that my mom brought me up to respect myself. That included sex. That meant that I am allowed to have just as good a time and not to be all embarrassed. The US has such a narrow view of sex and anything sexual that we are bursting at the seams trying to find an outlet that is 'appropriate'. Yet, there is so much sex thrown at us from all angles it is next to impossible to avoid it. But at the same time we are being told that it's wrong, immoral.

I think this not only causes a woman to feel that she doesn't deserve an orgasm but the men also feel so intimidated by it that they become addicted to porn, in private, because it's such a taboo. I think this narrow mindedness about sex in the US has created a bunch of the rapists and pedophiles that we see so much of. That we see so many men and women all cheating on each other. And these little girls and boys on myspace having to act like sl*ts to get attention because they see this is the best way to get it, because it's exactly how they are told they aren't supposed to act.

It affects a lot more then just the woman's ability to orgasm.

Well no matter how good the sex is, the girl may not always get an orgasm. Most women think that if she goes crazy in bed, guys are going to think she is too wild. Even though most men do like that. With women when it comes to sex they think a whole nother way then men.

I think that some of the problems are a woman's fault but not for the reason you are saying. You see, men go through life having sex thinking that they are really rocking it all the while the woman is faking it. So instead of the first few women telling the guy "hey, that doesn't work, you should try this," they just let him go on thinking he knows what he is doing. And later in life you get tons of women that men can't satisfy. We as women all need to vow to jump out of the bed and say "STOP" and perform the necessary corrective action before it is too late.

not coming from America myself I'm not really familiar with this perception but i will give you my opinion anyway. having an orgasm is a two way street. yes woman do need to be comfortable and relaxed and open to trying new things. on he other hand many guys don't understand that unlike a male orgasm (which basically involves sticking it in a hole and thrusting) woman need to be stimulated and for the majority of woman it is physically impossible for woman to have an orgasm purely through penetration. a woman not having an orgasm does not mean that the guy is bad at sex but maybe it does mean that things like foreplay and stimulation during sex need to change. you should both be open to changing the behaviour so you are both happy. maybe try different positions or toys. hope that helps.

Too personal for me to relate. Can't really answer. The only thing I can tell you is - if the woman loves you, then the "O" should not be a problem at all. Remember, women are the sentimental type. All they need is a little romance and "pampering" in bed, not just straight sex just for the heck of it. All that extra stuff will help your woman achieve the unachievable. LOL!

girls have a lot of insecurities. The man should make his woman feel beautiful and that shes the sexiest woman in the world ( even if she is not). When a girl feels comfortable around a guy she will not be holding back.

I hold back. Not because of being embarrassed or anything. I have issues. Sexual ones. But you are correct in saying that most girls don't have them. I had one partner that satisfied me out of the 17 that I've been with. He made me feel safe & he made me feel like it was ok to let go. It helped that he was into the same kind of sex as me too. But I felt so safe with him. It was beautiful.
