A British study claims a woman’s chances of getting married drop by 40 percent for every 16-point rise in her IQ. The same increase in IQ for a man boosted his chances of getting married by 35 percent.
So why the double standard?
I'm 24, I work in the biomedical field and I haven't had a relationship in 2 years. Could this be why? I can't think of any other reasons...

NO! I am very masculine and I like intelligent women so no it is not true.
Actually I think that ONE of the reason's why many intelligent women have troubles getting in relationships is not due just to men, but because intelligent women are much more selective then "unintelligent" women on which men they want to date! Which may be a good or bad thing. But this obviously lowers the chance a intelligent women has getting into a relationship.
It is well known that most(not all) men are attracted to physical beauty where as most(not all) women are attracted to status and money. Intelligent men usually have high status and money which could explain why they don't have a problem getting dates with women. I can go on forever, but you get the idea.

I am not intimidated by smart women, I think they're challenging. However, some women make a big issue of their intelligence, often by trying to show people up. They also tend to look for a mate at or above their intelligence and frown on those they consider less brainy. Nobody likes condescension, male or female!

I think you just need to go out with intelligent men. I do know most men I have known and maybe men in general like women who aren't so serious and who laugh alot . They don't want to hear about problems and such. they want you to smile and make them feel like they are the one and only thing in your life. Also I think men like a woman who cares a lot about herself almost to the point she is selfish,but be sure he thinks he comes first, . I do know men don't really care about how clean a woman's house is when he comes to visit, he just wants the woman to look good and by God wear that smile! He will care about the house if he lives with her but I think he mostly wants her to look good and be happy.and have no problems. which is kinda a bummer cuz you want to be able to tell him your woes but then again thats what girls are for. lol of course I may be wrong. stranger things have happened lol again.

men are so post to be the leader. you cant be the leader if your dumber. it goes the same with looks and height. chances re that you will have a girl shorter than the man. its why celebrities marry celebrities most of the time. its why husbands have higher income than there wife most of the time.
it might be sexist but sadly it how things work.

I believe I intimidate guys; one thing I NEVER considered ‘‘opinionated, educated as well as personality flaw just NOT good painting for an overall intellectual picture. To really be open, honest, and a true challenge to ourselves 'personality flaws must be considerably check.
Taking nothing from Chanel you're on the money most of our greater men today's are intimidated by women who carries herself in a way of respect because of the head ache and intellect it takes that respect adds in getting a date.

I'm in the social service field in which enlighten me to see life in so many angles that I want to share with him but you're right a man don’t want to hear about problems mine, yours, not even his, men do seek smiles to release and like for women to make them feel like they are the one and only thing in your life. Girl I STOP making cleaning the house all I do for him and put back on my smile, look good and be happy and leave the problems for me and my girlfriends........

Intelligent women can be quite attractive. It gives a sense that communication can go beyond shopping, clothes, hair, celebrities, etc.
To be attractive to the opposite sex, be confident and funny. Confidence attracts and humor breaks the ice.
p.s. most studies on a specific sex are baised to the sex of the researcher. Why bother reading them?

Seriously, I think alot of them do. They also are very intimidated with a woman who carries herself in a way that commands respect. I run into that problem alot. I would venture to say that yes, that's probably exactly why you're having a problem. Good luck to you!!

I love intelligent women!!! the only problem i'd have is if they thought they were "better" than you or kept rubbing their intelligence in your face all the time.
