The reason people don't believe terrorism is much of a threat, is simply.... brainwashing. (Can you say liberal media?) The same thing that terrorist leaders use to recruit and train their followers. If you hear something enough times, you believe it to be true. Like if you become a martyr, you will be with 10 beautiful women with Allah etc. If the news media ever gets its head out of its bottom, things might change, but until then... ??? All we can do is stick together and try to keep getting the truth out.
I'm very, very proud of the British police for sniffing these miscreants out. I just wish the Clinton administration hadn't hamstrung our own CIA. I'm a huge Tom Clancy fan. If our government used his model to operate under, we might have found these ingrates and double tapped them before they ever got this far. Probably would have found OBL a long time ago. Remember Sudan and Madeline Albright letting those terrorists go when we had them handed to us on a silver platter? What a sad state those pathetic liberals have gotten us into. Shame on them!

Given the illegal treatment by the USA of the prisoners captured in Afghanistan I can understand why people might not see the arrest of 24 "terrorists" by a US ally to be more evidence of an increasing terrorist threat.

It's not only sickening but it's scary how people refuse to face reality. I don't know how it is that these attacks are perpetrated and society turns a blind eye this is what happened during ww2 with the third Reich. nobody listened and the world was dragged into a world war. it's time to put up or shut up. if we would have stood out of WW2 what would the world be like today ?

Lack of understanding and fear of the Islamic Fascist by the masses. Left-wing propaganda, the fear of war, and the fear of many civilians casualties(the longer we what, the more bloodier this war will get).
Same goes to Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan in the 1930s. We've(the U.S. and Europe) wanted for the Axis Powers to make their move and invaded many countries then look what had happen to that.(say no to appeasement, you can't reason with a Fascist).
In the Koran it teaches intolerance of non-Muslims (infidel) and convert an infidel or kill him or tax the hell out of them. To them a peaceful world is a world of Islam and that means you, me, and everybody else and that is why we are in Iraq right now! That is why they what to kill us.
This is not a war on terror. Terror is a tactic, this is a war on Islamic Fascist and we better wake up, and FAST!

You cannot negotiate with terrorists. They will only demand more and more from you until they demand something you cannot give, then you are at war anyway. These people have no honor and do not respect the rules of war and open combat. They are cowards that hide amongst civilians and use them as shield's in order to carry out nefarious deeds. They need to be wiped out because whether you negotiate with them or not, given the opportunity they would murder you and everyone else on this site. Do not forget that. I certainly wont therefore I will support my country and any other country fighting them in any way I can.

This is something that was in the making the last 30-40 years. The burst of terrorist/freedom fighting organizations in Europe and US since the 60's. This is why back in Reagan's time when all that effort went into StarWar technology it was such a waste. It was back then clear that we will be fighting a different kind of war.

the world still thinks to be a threat we you need to have a conventional military force. The simply don't realize all it takes is a pen size cylinder to cross over the border and hell would be unleashed.

Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism, so yeah that's not true, that's not why we're in Iraq, we're there so George can get revenge for Saddam trying to kill his father, and for oil of course.
