While not all Muslims are terrorists (of course) it seems like all terrorists are Muslim. Have any clerics spoken out against the violence toward innocent people all over the world that is being carried out in the name of Islam?

yes our sheiks & Imams r speaking again & again about how wrong terrorism is & if u r to visit our country u would notice all the ads in all kinds of ways to fight terrorism
also in skcools we r teaching children again & again all about that Islam is against terrorism

That's the real problem here the clerics only speak out to what is happening to Muslims not what is happening to other Innocent people around the world, they simply condone what the terrorists are doing, I have not seen or heard one single attempt to stop the terrorists by any Muslim cleric, they are simply wolfs in sheep clothing trying to convince us that they are a peaceful people.

Every true Muslim who knows the teaching of Islam certainly knows that terrorism is wrong I mean it totally goes against the teachings of Islam. GrandMufti of Saudi Arabia spoke out agaisnt it by said that, "...hijacking planes, terrorizing innocent people and shedding blood, constitute a form of injustice that cannot be tolerated by Islam, which views them as gross crimes and sinful acts." Also the media lies about those terrorist all being Muslim how about 9 11 we have no proof who actually did it they just pointed a finger at us Muslims.

I do and every Muslim in the face of the world. Many clerics fought against the Terrorists and to oppose them.Below is a link that shows Islamic leaders and clerics that oppose Terrorists conducted by Muslims by name not by Islam and its teachings of peace.

Many Muslims have spoken out against terrorism. Haven't you watched the cnn? There are actually Muslim organizations for the sole purpose of speaking out against the terrorists.

Yes they have spoken against it...If I remember correctly, were given the Muslim form of excommunication by the main Muslim group. Not all terrorists are Muslim...in fact most aren't...Muslim extremists just happen to be what is popular on the news right now.
Also remember that one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. To those extremists we are the terrorist.

Often Muslims-no matter where they live-are afraid to speak out. 1. They are afraid to draw attention to themselves-for fear of what the radicals might do to them and their families. 2. And, even if they are speaking out against radicals-it still gives anti-Muslims a reason to resent them. Between the rock and the hard place?

They do regularly offer platitudes but the question is whether they are actually horrified by senseless killings/ beheadings or secretly think its proper payback for historic wrongs.
