i am not overweight by any means i would just like to be skinnier. any helpful hints?

work out regularly. . (by playing ball)

take up basketball and play twice a week for about two hours. . in a gym or at a playground. . work up a sweat. .

and get plenty of sleep and eat lots of fruits and veggies. .

and you'll lose weight. .

By the way, if you do this, when you get to the place you're gonna play, do stretching exercises (for your legs, mainly). . slowly but carefully and deliberately. .

.. this will help prevent injuries. .

exersize 30 minuets a day
eat only 1 snack a day
eat atleast 4 fruits a day *to help you forget about missing the snacks*
drink only water
write all the snacks you eat and how long you exersize down
REWARD YOURSELF: with something thats not food like a new cd.

to balance your diet:

in the morning have either scrambled eggs OR cheerios (NOTHING ELSE NO EXCEPTIONS) you must train yourself!!! (have one glass of orange or apple juice )
then jog for one hour (in ur neighborhood, at home in place, or in the gym)
then for 10-20 minutes lift some weights (5 lb per hand minimum)
then for lunch have whatever you like BUT DO NOT HAVE SODA OR NETHING ELSE EXCEPT TEA, ICE TEA, OR WATER( no coffee!!!) (or desert!)
then do something avtive to lose some more weight
have whatever you liek for dinner....one cookie OR soda!

Eat right such as eating the right amounts of vegetables and fruits and limit the fat you eat though it is good for athletes and remember exercise a lot.

walk briskly everyday for 1 hr
eat 500 calories less everyweek..
stay away from fast-food, if you do, eat in small quantities
less = more (figuratively)
