Why is America on their black list? They struck us first didn't they? Don't they have enough to worry about in their own country? Or do they really think they are going to take over the world?

A big part of it's the ole adage of "The biggest/baddest on the block is always hated and envied" Americana's becoming popular overseas, that makes those who're proud of their heritage hate the U.S. thinking we're corrupting, but in reality, it's their own young who're electing to eat at McDonald's, drink Coke, etc. This plus our government's often "spirited" foreign policy creat the illusion that we're world tyrants.
Biggest of all: We've got it GOOD here. I've been overseas, and have seen how bad, bad can be. When they see what WE have and THEY don't, it's not too hard for people to exploit that and tell the "have nots" that we're the cause for their woes. Never does it occur to em that their own leaders might have something to do with it........

"Why is America on their black list?"

I second discord43 on this. We are powerful, yet not Muslim. Therefore, according to their ideology, we must be subdued.

"They struck us first didn't they?"

Yes. Though they would say that we have committed serious crimes against Islam by (1) putting our (non-Islamic) military in a base in Saudi Arabia, and (2) supporting the return of land, historically conquered by Islam, to Jewish people. According to Islam, no land conquered by Islam is to ever released from Islam, like no person who has ever been Muslim is to be allowed out. That's why this issue isn't just, how can we come up with a solution that will let the people involved start living stable lives. And that's why Israel has found that no peace agreements it makes get recognized.

"Don't they have enough to worry about in their own country?"

Yes, but this is part of the problem. The dictators lolling around in luxury in their corrupt, impoverished countries need to direct the people's dissatisfaction at something, or else that dissatisfaction is likely to be directed towards the dictators.

America and Israel are therefore used as scapegoats.

"Or do they really think they are going to take over the world?"

Some of them think they will. They think their willingness to die makes them fundamentally stronger. However, to repeat one of my favorte quotes from Patton, "No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country." We've got the drones, we've got the high-tech high-funded military, we've got the mindset to do what we need to do to live.

Also, for some of them, what happens here is less important than attaining what they expect to be heaven. I think they on a gut level know their cause is doomed, but they fight in it anyway, expecting rewards in an afterlife.

The US is a target because we are not Muslim, yet we are powerful. Any powerful nonMuslim country just has to be Satanic or a mistake by Allah. So, they want to destroy us. Let's face it, Muslims want to destroy anyone who isn't Muslim, and the more moderate Muslims will stand by and watch rather than actually do something about it for our benefit. Even the moderate Muslims would rather see us dead than go against another Muslim

It goes back a long time ago. The US picked sides in different wars.
At one time they were supporting Bin laden.
They also supported Iraq in it's war against Iran.

They hate US policies and yes they hate our freedoms.

"They" hate us because we have what they want. You're right with your other statements except for that which suggests that "they" might someday take over the world. If they do - it will be a pile of radioactive dust.
