I'm not a believer so I don't qualify for the first question...but just wanted to say that yeah I know people who are spiritual and believe in a god without being religious. Religion is an organized group and not necessarily imperative to being a believer. Some believers do not approve of organized religion.

The reason I believe in the concept of an intelligent being having created the Universe and everything in it is really quite simple:
If we weren't created by something, then we couldn't actually concieve of the concept of a creator. It would literally be impossble to think of the idea we were created.
It's all based on the idea of "Cogito Ergo Sum", or "I think, therefore I am"
Meaning, the fact I can think about myself as a person, means I exist. I believe the same holds true for believe in the concept of an overlord deity that created everything with purpose:
If we hadn't, we couldn't even bring ourselves to think it was possible. So, in my opinions, I think It exists, therefore it exists.
The universe is WAY to huge for me to have the audacity to dismiss it.
On your second question, Yes you can. It's called Faith.
Religion and it's dogmatic laws are, in my opinion, man-made creations. It does not in any way affect or alter the possibly of supreme intellectual existence having made everything.
Faith is simply a belief held with no physical evidence to support it.
Hope I helped.

I can't put a finger exactly on why I believe, it just feels right, my religion make sense to me, it answers my questions and doubts.
I'm not part of any of the "mainstream religions" and I wasn't "converted" (conversions are not a mission of my religion), I just happened to learn about my religion in more detail and it started to make sense of life in general. I haven't even met anyone who is part of my religion.
As for believing in god without being religious, that depends on your definition of the word religious, you can reject some of the teachings of various religions, but still believe in others (such as a god). If you define religious as affiliated to a group, then you can believe in a god without being religious, but if you define religious as having faith in a higher power without physical proof of the existence of such, then by definition believing in a god means you must be religious.
(PS did you know that Jews, Christians and Muslims all believe in the same god? they just disagree which was the last prophet he sent)

Back when i still kina believed in god it was just because everyone else did, or so it seemed. I never really believed firmly but so many people always talked about this God guy like he was real so i figured there must be some truth behind it.
As I've gotten older and smarter I've realized that this is not the case... everyone just happens to be a little crazy, some more so than others.

this is the character of perception. in case you have faith something, you disagree with something or everyone that contradicts it. this is genuine for each perception, alongside with atheism. Many atheists are confident that Christians are incapable of unfastened theory. because I even are transforming into a Christian I even have achieved greater thinking than I ever had earlier. whilst Christianity has a stable set of ideals, we are inspired to learn, meditate, and reason on the significant issues in life. Pastors do no longer dictate what we would desire to have faith and do. The Bible dictates what the pastor would desire to hold forth. Atheists, on the different hand, are greater dogmatic than many Christians i be conscious of. they won't enable for the potential for God's life or entertain any information that helps it.

I don't believe religion, I believe in people.Religion doesn't seem even remotely true to me. I think you can believe in the continuation of life without believing in god but I'm not sure about god without religion. Religion is about worshiping god, which in turn suggests it needs something. The idea that it would need anything from us (if it existed), is amusing but laughable.

The truth makes me believe, I was born muslim, i read the Quran and i loved everything in it, I find many answers to many questions in this Holy book, my believes were more stronger because the truth is in Quran.
I think that faith and religious commitment are complementary.

You can have a strong belief in any religion if you agree with the philosophy of it strongly enough.
However, I would never encourage you to embrace a religion, as religion never did anything significant for anyone. Instead, I urge you to have faith in Jesus Christ, the living God...you'll never be the same. Faith in Jesus is not based in any 'religion', but is result a of becoming a part of Him and experiencing God in truth.
You can have faith in God in the absence of any form of religion, because Jesus is not found in religion nor in the impositions of man, but in relationship with Him. What He has to offer is completely separate from any work of man.

That's called Faith. It is a personal choice. You either have Faith or you don't no in between.
Yes, you can believe in God without being religious. That just means you do not practice religion is all.
