I'm on a business trip and recently ate at Sonics. They don't have Sonics in my state so I don't know if you should or shouldn't tip.

Yes - I had a friend who worked at Sonic, and they really, really, really appreciate a little tip - you know 50 cents or so.

I usually tip a buck because I think the usual 15% like at a regular restaurant is too much. They bring your food and that's it. At a regular restaurant, they refill drinks, check on you, suggest desert, bus tables. That's where you tip 15 - 20%.

I do, but not as much as at a sit-down restaurant. I usually give them whatever the coin change is from my order. If that is less than 50 cents, I throw in an extra quarter.

Heck no, only the perverted guys tip. They go there to stare at the 16 year old girls. What about the cooks, or people making your drinks, tip them.

YES! My niece by marriage worked at one and she was paid as if she was "receiving tips" so I ALWAYS tip at least $1 even if all I get is a just a coke.

I don't. I know some people who do, but I've never felt it was required. If it's a really complicated order or something, I might tell them to keep the change.

1-2$ since they make $6 an hour already...

Most waiters only make $2-4 dollars an hour, and that is why you tip them more.

Yes, its just nice. I just round up the change and they love it.
Its a hot and nasty job and they get paid minim.

I always tip them. I tip them even more if they're on skates.
