You might have a mild form of OCD. Browse through the self-help/psychology/medical reference section in your local book store or Google OCD on line and compare the symptoms closely. And talk to your doctor if possible about some behavioral or cognitive therapy or possibly a medication to relieve your anxiety/fear/panic attack. And good luck! Just remember it takes time and persistence. But you already did the most important thing - you recognized the problem and seeked help!

As someone with a past phobia of palmetto bugs/flying cockroaches, I think I can answer this...

1. Understand that they can't hurt you in any way.

2. Expose yourself to it. Exposure is key. But do it on your OWN terms, don't have a bunch of people with large pores hug you, as that could have a rebound effect. Empower yourself.

what exactly is your phobia is it you are afraid of dots, lines, grids, etc... you have to conquer your fears, such as connect the dots when you see them, cross the lines, number the grids, touch the veins, lotion the bad skin and cover the pores.

Study it and expose yourself to it as much as possible. There will still be some anxiety, but your 'lizard/primitive brain' thats causing the problem will realize it's not a threat.

Get a picture of the things you fear, and draw it.Look at pictures of it everyday and it'll go away.

Wow. That is odd. I've never heard of that one before. I have to say that you'll just have to face it. I'm sorry.
