yes. one because the air system kits are set up to work together. when you use lowering blocks, shackles and such you have to figure out what shocks to use. if you are going to use an air ride system dont be a cheap skate, by the correct kit. it may be more to begin with but the results you will be very happy with

Air is a better idea but is more costly. Plus your ride will be compromised. The air will take some getting used to because of the bounce they create. Keep in mind that suspension modifications in most states require a modified inspection whichever you choose.

Yes, because you can adjust the pressure higher when carrying a heavy load or hooking up a trailer.

It is better however more expensive to buy and to repair. I would avoid it if you plan on keeping your truck for more than a few years.
