Don't listen to the idiot who thinks there's yeast in cake... and who also thinks the Atkins Diet is a good idea. If she had researched Dr. Atkins she would know how he died... and it wasn't from his "fall." Secondly, in order to lose weight you need carbohydrates to keep things moving if you know what I mean. Try to steer clear of white flour that is generally the main ingredient in cake... and other baked goods. I have recenly dropped 3% body fat in the passed 2 months (from 21% to 19%) by consuming moderate amounts of whole grains such as plain oatmeal, fresh berries, beans, some veggies, and high fiber cereals. And just so you know... there are some very healthy fats that will help you lose weight as well. Omega 3-6-9 fats that are found in most fish will help your body digest food more easily. Also avacodos, some nuts, and olive oil will aid in your weight loss process...

Not literally. Pastries such as cake are made up mainly from simple carbohydrates and are called "empty calories" because there is little nutritive value in them. You need to focus on complex carbohydrates. If you eat too many simple carbs, your body will store the excess energy as fat, causing it to, maybe, go to your thighs. As with everything, moderation is the key.

Yes and no.

Fat goes where your body tells it to go. It doesn't matter if the fat comes from cake or brussel sprouts.

That said, cake is high in refined simple sugars, fats, etc. which makes it very fattening and thus, not healthy. The old "well it has eggs and milk it in" adage doesn't hold up for justifying the consumption of cake and only cake.

Pastries are majorly Sugar and flour, eggs, and some flavorings.

So, if you dont walk alot, or exersise then yes, like any other food. Foods such as cakes, give you extra carbs, and sugars that your body doesn't need, i wouldn't be so much worried about it goign to your thighs, as i would letting it go to your heart or cause you diabetes. Any diet high in sugar is really bad for you.
BUT It's fine if you workout regularly, as long as you eat in proportion. anything is good in proportion. Having a normal serving size will not go to your thighs, as long as it's the only sweet you ate for the day.

Icecream, and dairy WILL go straight to your thights, they build the most fat, Ice cream is one step away frmo whipped cream, and whipped cream, is one step away from pure butter. eating alot of icecream is equivlent to eating a stick of butter. Same with alot of cheese....

It's okay to consume one desert a day :) so dont fret. eat a hearty breakfast, a light lunch and a proportionate dinner, and dessert is just normal.

ANY Fast food, or preprocessed foods such as TV dinners, are highest in fats, and salts, that will cause you to gain water weight, and fats. anything high in trans fat will go to your unwanted body features.

Cake is burn off able. ;)

if you want, try eating your favorite fruits with some light whipped topping. Frozen fruit is always good, eat frozen yogurt isntead of icecream.

Sometimes. It actually depends on your body system. Some bodies have a tendancy to store fat in the thighs

They go all over, not just your thighs. Some people, even really skinny ones, bloat after eating, so that may be why you feel fat.

Its mostly in your head, you've been programmed to believe that foods high in fat make you fat.

They do, over time, but mostly they ruin your health.

It depends on your genetics where the fat that isnt burned is stored. Some women store it mostly in their thighs, others in their butts, others in their stomachs.

I feel crappy and fat when i eat yucky foods, even though i know i havent gained and ounce.

I just try to avoid it.

pastries yep because they are sugar or carbohydrates. will end up in your hips and thighs. To eat fat not trans fat is okay as long as you cut down carbohydrates .Fat in the absence of other calories will be broken down or burn for energy instead of being stored.
