All of the religious people and leaders were confused, upset, and scared. Christ was changing the way many thought. Turning the tables around for everyone. How? He had studied the scriptures as a child. No one could get him away from arguing religion, but what was always clear is that he wasn't wecomed by any of the religious leaders nor men of high power. They tried to match his knowledge of the bible, but would all fail. Christ had become God to all. They didn't believe him. Never once said, he could be the real son of God. Why? That brings great doubt. Holy men not believing in their own religion, fearing Christ like he had become something they had created without being part of the plan. My question is did they cover up this mess by adding him with the rest of the old scriptures and therefore setting everything back to as it once was?

The people that wrote the new testament believed He was the messiah, they weren't covering up anything. Jesus fit in all the prophecies about Him in Isaiah, but the pharasees weren't buying it. Why, you ask? He knew they were making money off people at the temple, and they wanted to continue, it's called greed. He told them they were wrong, and they knew He was right, but they weren't gonna admit it. The pharasees had become too legalistic, like many christians are now, they were living by the law without mercy, and they were men of power, and power is a heady drug. When the Jewish laws were written, men were not mentally capable of comprehending grey areas, they needed everything in black and white. I think thats why Jesus came when He did, men were then mentally capable of deeper thought, it was time for Him. Also, if you read the bible you'll see that the Jews hearts had been hardened by God, it was their punishment for the sacrifices they had made to Baal. They couldn't accept Jesus because they weren't meant to. Face it, if they had accepted Him, there wouldn't have been any crucifiction, and we'd still be in deep doo-doo, with no salvation in sight.

In the Old Testament there at least 360 prophesies of the coming Messiah. The religious leaders are very much like our own today. The difference is they were looking for the messiah alright, but a victorious one to defeat the Romans in battle. Jesus did not fit that profile. But if you want to see the Old Testament profile prophesies that Jesus fits go to http://www.bibleprobe.com/365messianicprophecies.htm

Orthodox Jews consider the Jewish scripture too holy to write in the part about the Messiah after the fact. This question is a not-so-interesting conspiracy theory.

Your close real close. It's like a double roll of Charmin toilet paper. More New Testimony equals more wipes per bible. Your indulging in a myth. The only thing holy books are good for is toilet paper when your in a third world country. Koran is good too.
