There is no point. We are here because nature and evolution made it happen in a kind of cosmic accident. I didn't choose sin, neither did anyone else. How can anyone be punished for stuff that happened a long time before they were born? Original sin, what a bizarre concept. A pure innocent child born a sinner? No way.
If there is a god it wants nothing from us, needs nothing from us and therefore has nothing to punish us for. What a massive con religion is. What a shame we can't be released from it and just be free thinking decent people.

Basically, we were to take care of the earth, have dominion over the animals, be fruitful and mutiply.
Soon the earth will be a better place with everything in order, and everyone perfect.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them: and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Dan 2:44 And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

We are here to find God, then worship God and point others to God. God certainly wants the world to be in order and a better place - he is much more grieved than you over EVERY sin. However, he gave us free will - and we chose to sin. That's why he sent Jesus, so we in our free will could choose heaven again. God didn't want a bunch of robots walking around worshiping him - he gave us a precious gift instead, though we messed it up badly.

I grew up going to catholic school and was a huge believer in god and the afterlife. However, as I have grown up i have questioned things as much as everyone does i assume. I heard a good quote about that very subject in the movie "Dogma." It said that faith is like a glass of water, when you are young the glass is small so it easier to fill, as we get older the glass becomes bigger and in turn is tougher to fill.
I believe that I really don't know what the heck we are here for, I do try to live a good life and treat people how I would want to be treated. I try to follow the commandments because whether or not a guy found them on some rock on top of a mountain, they are still pretty good ideas on how to live a good and descent life.
So, I say live a good life and treat people right, if there is a god, he will see that and treat you fair because of that, and if not, well, you are at least happier for living a good life.
Take care

The point of life is to live it!
Have experiences, a perception...figure out who you are.
We ARE all created from perfection.
God is our heavenly father and he gave us free will, the power to make our own choices.
The world is in order.
God reigns on high.
He is waiting for you to talk to Him, sitting on the edge of his seat.
He loves you.
He wants you to have whatever experiences that you need to figure out who you are.
You and I and everyone else are all a part of this dynamic thing called life.
We are pieces of a puzzle and God is the master.
He knows what the complete puzzle looks like.
The world is the way it is and it's a matter of perspective.
Watch the movie
It's a beautiful life.
Life is beautiful.
The point is to see that.
Life is perspective and choice.
Live, Love, and be happy!!
May God Bless you and allow you to be a blessing to others.

God loves you and He wants you to love Him back. Don't worry God will accomplish His work and make the world a peaceful place. Maybe not in your lifetime but soon nonetheless.

We are in existance to worship, glorify, and have fellowship with God. He created us perfect, but he gave us the choice of sin or perfection, but we chose sin.

Why do we need a point? Is life so unbearable that we must find a purpose? Are we so afraid to be?
Is death so terrifying that we must create an afterlife?
Do we feel so unloved that we must create a being to love us?
