ten % of gross plus you got to give some offerings too so I personally like to give 10% tithes and 5 %offerings but the offerings is up to you how much you give it is not a certain amount that God requires the amount of offerings is up to you it is to show God have much you love him and I know from experience you can't out give God the more you give him with the right heart and motives then the more he gives you back! malachi says to test him and try him this day and see if don't up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing in which you don't have room eough for all of it!!!!

I tithe each month. On the other 3(4) Sundays I pay around $25. I am on a fixed income. I am recovering from transplant surgery. When I am allowed to go back to work, I'll still tithe. That's because when the preacher bitches about it,I'll have a clear conscience.

My church doesn't have tithing. They have a pledge drive every year, and each family contributes what they are comfortable with. Personally, my family is in a tight financial situation, and giving 10% would mean we couldn't eat after the bills get paid. We give what ever we can afford on Sundays to the offering plate.

I don't (and don't understand why anyone would) tithe. If you support a particular charity, give your money to that charity. If you give a dollar to the Salvation Army, they get a dollar. If you "tithe" a dollar to your church, they take out a little to pay for electricity, and a little for the pastor's car payment, and a little for his wife's new shoes, and then give the remaining 60 cents to the Salvation Army. How "charitable" is that?

I don´t neither do i keep the Sabbath; i´m not under the law of moses,, i´m under grace. Tithes and offerings are voluntary. Jesus set us free from all the curse of the law. Everything i have belongs to God, not just 10 %any money in my power i manage according to how His Spirits directs me. Those that are led by His Spirit are the children of God. Hope your happy with our reply!!!

Tithing is no longer a requirement for Christians for we are no longer under the Mosaic Law. God loves a cheerful giver, not one under compulsion to give.

no. I give what I have when I have it and that does not always include monetary gain. I think that if you want to ostracize people then shove the money thing down their throats but when you are saved you simply want to give. In my opinion churches that stress tithing must not have much faith. GOD will provide if you have faith. do not rely on others.

Tithing is not a requirement. It's of the Mosaic Law that Jesus did not carry through.
I am very generous though.

I don't even pay MYSELF that much. There is no way that I am going to finance a group of people who are usually more concerned with sending prosletyzers overseas to annoy poor folk in other countries than in helping their own parishioners get by.
