I live in New York, and he lives in Israel- we met when I came with my family for a year in Israel, and I will only see him on vacations for about four years (after four years I'm going back for another year). How can I deal with the missing?....

But 4 years separate is a LONG time. You might want to re-visit whether you want him to be your only romantic focus for that long of a stretch. You you be committing to one person, or will it be better for both of you in the long term to have more social experiences?
