Whenever they're ready. There's no set time for someone to move on. Some people get over break ups easier than others, so it just depends on when the person is ready. If you're looking for a time period, they usually say that it takes half the time of the time of the relationship (ie it takes 6 months to get over a 1 year relationship, 3 months to get over a 6 month relationship, etc etc) for a person to be able to move on.

my opinion depend on How about relation. you see if your relation 1week - 1month may be nothing. if 1- 3 year it take about 11/2 month. the more years relation the more one person move after break up. when you break up with some one special.....only yourself know about it because to forget someone so special to us is very difficult..it need a time.. that my opinion.
if you relation for sex and fun is totally different... today and tomorrow is same as yesterday.

it depends on if you broke up the person b/c of this other person or not. If you did break up b/c you fell for someone else then just give the breakee a couple of days, otherwise a couple of weeks is good

It depends. If it was a really good relationship then at least wait a little. If it was just a short fling go on and move to the next guy.

I think as soon as you want. I broke up with my guy and stayed single for a year but was depressed as hell then started going out with another guy and then broke up with him and again waited to get another broke up 3rd guy in less then a week started going out with this guy now and I am as happy as hell so what I am saying don't waste your type being depress Move on and be happy

The longer the old relationship, the longer you should wait.
